FESTA ITALIANA CHARLOTTE 2011
A WONDERFUL SUCCESS
We hope you enjoyed this year’s Festa Italiana, May 22, 2011 at Queens. It was a huge success. The Ristoranti and Bakery presentations and appetizers were over the top with very impressive arancini, crespelle, pasta, pizza, breads, antipasti, caprese salad, and salad demontrations. Of course, our Festa Chef’s, Gino and Isabel Macchiavelli, exceeded our expectaions, as usual, with a spread of entrees, meats, pastas, sides, and desserts that our guests could not believe. Our Famous 4 Foot Seafood Risotto was a huge hit….as it is every year. Reviews have been astounding from the over 400 people attending. It was a gorgeous sunny Charlotte afternoon with endless and absolutely delicious Italian food, desserts, Lunetta prosecco, Cavit wines, Peroni beer, delightful live entertainment, exquisite silent auction, and fun people. And topping off an absolutely marvelous afternoon is the fact that it all resulted in $21,000 going to Nevins Center and Holy Angels, “creating opportuinites, unconditional love, and unlimited possibilites” for people with disabilities and special needs in our generous Charlotte community. Bravi e Baci to everyone attending and contributing !!!!!!!

About Our Foundation…
St Anthony Foundation of Charlotte is proud to present Festa Italiana Charlotte each spring and a “Half -Way to the Festa” event each fall. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit, non-religious, non-affiliated organization founded to help people who cannot help themselves: disadvantaged children, poor elderly, and those with special needs/disabilities. The Foundation chose to donate its event proceeds to benefit Nevins Center six years ago and this year also added Holy Angels as a recipient. Together these wonderful non-profit organizations help individuals with all levels of special needs and disabilities live happy and dignified lives. Read More…
